Pupil Free Day

Whilst on placement at Middle Indigo Primary School, the school had a pupil free day. I attended along with the rest of the staff and was involved in all discussions. My supervising teacher was also the principle of the school and shared with me the relevant legislative, administrative and organisational policies and processes required for teachers according to school stage (AITSL, 2014). I was shown the school’s curriculum plans which were ordered by stage and subjects. We used these plans to develop lessons I could teach over the following weeks. I was treated as a staff member, involved in discussions regarding policies and changes.
