Brendan Passmore

Towards the conclusion of my placement experience Middle Indigo Primary School was involved in the Kanga Cricket program. I taught several physical education lessons in preparation for the day of cricket. Approximately half the students were playing on the day. Being a small school, our supervising team consisted of two teachers, myself and several parents. I led one group of students in cooperation with a parent. Throughout the day I was constantly umpiring matches and organising students. I had previously interacted with and collaborated with parents and carers inside the classroom, so I had already developed a relationship with all of the parents assisting on the day. Being an umpire I engaged professionally with groups of students, educators and parents and carers from schools across the region.
